Since 1975, we, together with our Japan corporate team, have been providing comprehensive international ship registration services including establishment of legal entities under all flags of convenience, registration of ship nationality, and the establishment of maritime liens.

Our services include:

• A comprehensive review and understanding of your ship registration requirements, including your preferred country of registration.

• Assisting you in the establishment of an overseas entity for the purpose of ship registration. If you need to own a foreign-flag ship, we will assist you with all required procedures, be it establishing a localized overseas subsidiary or completing a ship’s registration.

• Assisting you in the purchase or sale of a foreign flag ship. We will, upon your agreement, act as your processing agent to prepare all documentation and to obtain the required certification. We will also assist you in executing all the necessary procedures for the overseas sale and/or transfer of Japanese-registered ships.

• Provision of related ship registration services such as annual tonnage tax payment, ship’s nationality certificate renewal, obtainment of transcripts, ship mortgage or charge registration, corporate management support, etc.

• Accessibility to our trusted maritime attorneys and agents in major ship registries such as Panama, Liberia (based in New York), Hong Kong, Singapore and Cyprus for your ship registration needs and enquiries. We are also the appointed exclusive Japanese agent, by the London Office, of the Maritime Affairs Authority of the Bahamas.
